learn to flyfish on 'red tag days'

Red Tag Days have been running for three years now, and provide an all inclusive 'learn to fish' day out on one of the South West Lakes Trust venues.

They are particularly suitable for beginners and improvers, and will take you through casting mechanics, leaders, flies, knots, hooking, playing and landing a fish, a 1 fish ticket and even includes the EA rod licence for the day, courtesy of the Angling Trust. A fly dressing demonstration also shows you how the flies are actually created.

What to bring? - Any fly tackle you may have, warm clothes, wellies or waders, covid ppe, picnic chair, and your food and drink. I will supply the rest.

Covid-19 really messed up the schedule last year.

The first six dates from April to July were cancelled.

We finally got underway with an evening event at Burrator on 1st August which was fully subscribed.

Extra dates added by popular demand:

Saturday 15th August at Burrator SOLD OUT

Saturday 29th August at Burrator  SOLD OUT

Saturday 12th September at Fernworthy   SOLD OUT

Saturday 26th September at Colliford Lake   SOLD OUT

Saturday 24th October at Burrator     SOLD OUT

Saturday 7th November at Burrator - CANCELLED DUE TO LOCKDOWN

Once we know where we are headed with Coronavirus in 2021, I will create an event schedule
